Nicholas' Review:
There is some cool flowers and plants there - it is pretty neat, in fact Flagstaff area is very foresty and different from Phoenix - almost like a different state! The butterfly garden is cool - there are some really colorful ones there and I think sometimes they have a hatching party!

Melissa's Notes:
The Flagstaff Arboretum is a 200 acre nature center and botanical garden showcasing the unique flora and fauna that can be found in Northern Arizona. Daily guided tours are available at 11:00a.m. and 1:00p.m. to help visitors learn about the many different species of plants and flowers that are native to the Colorado Plateau area. At other times throughout the year, the arboretum offers additional tours focusing on other topics of interest like wildflower blooms or wildlife and animals native to the area.

The arboretum has a range of plant life to see, but one of the most vibrant areas is the Children's Garden - an area that is bright, vibrant and full of life and that welcomes children to come in and play for as long as they like. Another unusual area that isn't often seen is the Blue Garden, which is simply a collection of plants with a unique blue-green foliage - an adaptation that occurred due to the high elevation.

Seeing as how the arboretum is a true sanctuary that is both peaceful and relaxing, visitors can wander around for as long as they like enjoying the beautiful surroundings and simply enjoying the pleasures of nature. There are picnic tables scattered in many locations throughout the park and after a morning exploring the wide variety of habitats on site, visitors should swing by Woody's Sandwich Shop, the onsite restaurant, to grab a quick take-out sandwich for a quick impromptu picnic.

Jacob Tip:   If your parents have a nice camera and they will let you use it this is the best place to learn to take pictures cuz everyone likes flower pictures. I'll tell you the secret to a good photography is get closer than you think and look behind the person or thing to see if you have a good background for the photo!
