Nicholas' Review:
I got to see a lion rip right into his dinner when we went on the safari tour! It was really cool! I really liked this park, because we got to see how the owners use the park to help rescue and save animals that really need help. I definitely recommend visiting this place!

Melissa's Notes:
If you care about animals, then Keepers of the Wild is the perfect place to visit when touring the Flagstaff area. According to the organization's mission statement, the founders of this establishment have dedicated their lives to the protection of abused, neglected, abandoned and retired captive wildlife. Each animal living at this park has been either been rescued from bad situations or donated to Keepers of the Wild in the hopes of providing the safest and most natural environment for them to live out their lives in happiness.

I felt quite happy knowing that every dollar I spent at this park was going right back into the program to sustain the organization and provide the best care for their animals and any excess funds are used to help support their broader mission of enforcing humane treatment of all animals everywhere. If you are going to a zoo to spend money, it is great to know that it is going to such a fabulous cause!

Keepers of the Wild provides habitats for more than 175 different animals and offers educational outreach to inform the public about the animals that they protect. If you want to see the animals up close and personal, this park offers guided safari tours for a reasonable rate of $10.00 per person. There offer three tours daily, but make sure you arrive prior to 3:30 because that's when the last tour departs and you don't want to miss out on this opportunity.

This is a great experience where you get to see the animals up close from the safari truck, plus you get to see the large predatory animals as they feed.

Note: Just like all other places in Arizona, it gets really hot here during the summertime. Dress appropriately and remember to stay hydrated!
