Wing Mountain Snow Play Area
Flagstaff Sledding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing
Wing Mountain is so awesome! I took my snowtube and went flying down the mountain faster than a bullet! Even though I kept flipping at the end, it was still so much fun I just couldn't stop!
Wing Mountain is Flagstaff's best organized snow play area! Sledding down hills, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing or maybe just playing in the snow - Wing Mountain is the place to do it all! Bring the kids and spend the day zipping down the mountain on sleds or build a snow fort and declare war against the family! This is probably one of the simplest, but most fun places around!
Convenient to the Flagstaff area, Wing Mountain is a great place to come out and enjoy the snowy winters because the management takes great pride in keeping the area well-maintained with plentiful parking, refreshments to keep you toasty warm, and popular equipment for sale if needed. If you are travelling from out of town, make sure you call the 24-hour information line to check weather conditions to make sure that there is plenty of snow to go around before you make the drive out here.
From I-40, follow HWY 180 north 2.8 miles past Snowbowl Road to mile marker 226 (approximately). Turn left onto Forest Service Road 222B.
