Jambo! Park - Mesa
Mesa area indoor amusement park and Mesa fun things to to!
The bumper cars is really cool, but lots of the rides were more for little kids like my five year old brother. Playing in the tunnels was probably the best part, but we had to slow down so we didn't run over little kids.
When it's 120 degrees outside and the kids are going crazy, parents should pack them up and head over to Jambo! Park in Mesa for a fun afternoon at this indoor amusement park. Jambo! Park - Mesa is situated at the old Jungle Jim's Playland location; however, the new owner has renovated and brought a little life back into the old site. After renovation, the park now has seven amusement park rides for kids - a mini roller coaster, mini airplane ride, spinning cups, train, monkey barrels, bumper cars and carousel. They also have a soft children's play area with tunnels, slides and more to keep the little kids busy all day long.
For older kids visiting the park (ages twelve-ish and up) there is a separate old-school arcade type area called the "Lion's Den" that has plasma tvs, pool table, foosball and video games to pass the time. If hunger strikes while you are at Jambo!, don't worry! The on-site snack shop is quite affordable and has a wide range of carnival food fares to satisfy any appetite.
Overall, this is a nice site to spend the day if you are visiting with younger kids, but if you have older kids (10+) it's better to head over to the Phoenix location and visit the Jambo! Park there with indoor laser tag and miniature golf to appeal to a broader age range.
Note: Check the website prior to your visit to sign up for their free Jambo! Passport to get coupons and find out about special events!
