Nicholas' Review:
These are the fastest go-karts in the world I think! I felt like I was FLYING around the track! Even though I had never raced before, I beat all but one kid - and he is like the racing champion! The only bad thing is they don't let kids and adults race together so I wasn't able to beat the pants off my Dad!

Melissa's Notes:
If you have an inner need for speed, feed that demon at K1 Indoor Racing Center in Phoenix! K1 is definitely the best place to race; so suit up, strap yourself in, and get ready to have some fast paced fun. The tracks here are up-to-date and top of the line, so challenge your friends to races or try to beat your own personal best and check the electronic score card at the end to determine who won. For those who are addicted to the fast and furious adrenaline rush of racing, the site offers racing leagues for those who wish to demolish their competition and reign supreme. Race classes are also available to help drivers learn tips and techniques for getting to the head of the pack every time!

At K1, after a mandatory first time safety briefing, drivers will strap in for 12-14 laps of frenzied fun. The electric go karts are equipped with seat belts, roll bars and automatic emergency shut-offs, so it is fun enough for the kids, but safe enough to keep mom happy. On a side note about kids, though, it is important to note that this is not an activity for those with small children. There is a height requirement of 4 feet for all junior racers who wish to drive the adult cars with only one rider per kart. Additionally, races do not combine adult and junior riders. Riders only compete against those in their category.

In addition to the basic go kart experience, K1 is also a great place for birthday parties and corporate team-building events as well, since the tracks can accommodate up to twelve racers at a time and offers discounted pricing for group events. When arriving, you will be signed up for the "arrive and drive" packages which is on a first come, first serve basis. If larger groups wish to race together the company advises that they make reservations in advance for group rates and benefits.
