Boondocks Fun Center
Family fun things to do in Denver!
This place was so happenin’! I spent the best day of my life here! The bumper boats were awesome. I loved soaking people with water and bumping around in the boat. After getting dry and eating lunch I went to play laser tag. It was like being in Mission Impossible! Lots of hiding place and lots of fun ambushing other players. I want to go again!
The slogan carried by the Boondocks Fun Center is, “Something for everyone.” They live up to their slogan well for being a relatively small center. The Boondocks is a great place to visit for an afternoon of fun or an all-day excursion during a short stay in the Denver area.
The Boondocks have both indoor and outdoor attractions. They can be an ideal backup for a rainy day or the perfect mix of indoor/outdoor fun on a hot day. Kids will love the 20 lane bowling center, laser tag area, and bumper boat pool. The miniature golf course is 18-holes of fun. There are two themed courses with unique holes, waterfalls, and suspended bridges. The fire-breathing lizard is pretty neat—even by adult standards!
Bumper boats are perfect if you need to cool off on a hot day. The boats are like huge inner tubes. The objective is to steer through dizzying spins as other boaters do their best to soak you with Master Blasters. If you like racing, be sure to check out the Go-Karts, Rookie Track, and Jr. Racers activities.
An indoor arcade is stocked with over 100 games. Ticket rewards won in the arcade are redeemable at the Boondocks Prize Center. Kiddie Cove is the ideal setting for kids to burn off energy. It’s a 32’ x 24’ x 20’ interactive adventure area. Kids can barrel down double slides, climb webs, and experience a bungee wall.
Before visiting this attraction, we read a lot of hit and miss reviews. The key to visiting the Boondocks seems to lie in planning. If you dislike large crowds, don’t plan a trip on a Tuesday. Tuesdays are discount days, drawing in much larger crowds. The fun center can feel cramped in a large crowd. Be cognizant of the time you choose to go. Late night hours can be bustling!
