Colorado History Museum
& living historical exhibit!
My favorite part of the museum was the Colorado Stories exhibit. It was this display with all kinds of stories from all sorts of people all around Colorado. You got to see how the different cities and towns came to be and how different people helped them turn into what they are today. I never realized stories were such a big part of history!
Four family exhibits make the Colorado History Museum the ideal getaway for the entire family: Time Machine, Destination Colorado, Colorado Stories, and LEGO-rado. We could revisit the museum time and again to explore these exhibits. There is so much to see you cannot possibly catch it all in one visit.
The LEGO-rado exhibit is a LEGO lovers bliss! A group called the Colorado/Wyoming LEGO users’ group uses LEGOs to bring history to life in mind blowing LEGO brick displays. This is unlike anything you have ever seen! The museum hosts workshops for adults and children to learn from the master builders behind the incredible displays.
Destination Colorado is a unique living historical exhibit. You walk into the American Dream in 1918. Volunteers in full period dress populate the 5,000 square foot exhibit. You can even enroll in the town’s high school and have your yearbook picture taken. Adults and kids will love this adventure back in time.
The Colorado Stories exhibit is incredible. The exhibit is bursting at the seams with unique stories from the diverse population of Colorado—past and present. It’ll inspire anyone to delve deeper into the museum.
The Colorado History Museum believes that every event can be historic—from touring the museum to your own personal events. You can reserve the museum for weddings and receptions, corporate meetings and events, birthday parties, and other special occasions (such as anniversaries and graduation). The beauty of the museum event hosting is the facilities ability to help you great elegance or ruggedness.
