Lilly's Review:
I love going to the farm! Feeding the animals is so much fun, especially the goats. Just be really careful with your bag because those goats will eat the whole bag…including the paper! It was sort of neat but mom wasn't so happy. They even got these neat water misters to help keep you cool there this summer.

Megan's Notes:
Old Town Fort Collins has so much to offer for families including the wonderful Farm at Lee Martinez Park. If you are looking for a chance to let your children see some animals up close, feed them, and learn a little bit about life on the farm then this is a great place to go! On the weekend's they also do pony rides (with helmets provided…I know it is just music to a mom's ears). The animals you will usually see here are: goats, sheep, pigs, horses, cows, chickens, ducks, and turkeys. They also have classes through the city for all ages. One of our favorite events they do is Treatsylvania for Halloween. It is perfect for the little ones to go trick or treating in a very controlled area. If you are interested in this make sure you get your tickets early and plan on waiting in line to get in that night.

Then each time we go all we have to buy is the feed which is $1.00 for 4 scoops. I have found that this is always more than enough and we usually give any leftover to another little one coming in when we are leaving. In addition to all the animals there is also a small playground with a big red tractor the kids can play on. For those of you who love scrapbooking this is an adorable picture to add to your farm trip. We also like to bring a lunch or a snack and either take advantage of their kid sized picnic tables or walk over to the larger park down the hill. I recommend going multiple times a year so your kids can see how the animals grow. The spring is especially fun as they have lots of little babies.

Jacob Tip:   What to hear a great echo? Make sure you go up the stairs in the barn, then cross the bridge and then up the steps in the silo. You can say anything and it will echo!
