Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary
Big Cats and wild animal sanctuary and zoo.
North Florida's longest operating wildlife sanctuary
Watching the animals was fun because we got to see them being fed. It was really neat to watch the people throw meat to the tigers and the tigers fought to get it before other tigers. They had face painting there, and I got a tiger painted on my face. They also had sno cones and I got a blue one, and it stained my teeth blue! When we got there the lions roared when we walked by, it was so loud and scared my sister-that was really funny!
The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary is North Florida's longest operating wildlife sanctuary, and I am very happy we decided to stop here on our vacation to Florida. It's not as well-known as some other popular Florida attractions, but that just makes it even more appealing to visit. The prices are reasonable and it is definitely worth the admission.
My children really enjoyed watching the animals being fed, and I liked the fact that they were doing something educational on vacation. Learning about these wild animals was a wonderful experience for our family and much more personal than visiting a zoo. I liked the fact that the Catty Ranch is a nonprofit organization and they are committed to helping wild animals survive in captivity. Visiting The Catty Shack Ranch Wildlife Sanctuary was a highlight of our Florida vacation and I would definitely recommend stopping there if you are in North Florida.

|Jacob Tip: You should go at night when the animals are active, that's the best! And make sure you get your parents to get you supper before you go so, that way you can spend a long time there.|
