Rylan's Review:
My mom says Burt Reynolds is a really famous movie actor and he also used to be a football player while he was in college. She says he was in a movie called Smokey and the Bandit, she liked that movie a lot, but I never saw it. This museum was cool because of all the movie posters and signed photos of Hollywood actors and actresses. Roy Rodgers donated his saddle and cowboy boots and the entire Miami Dolphins team autographed a football and that's in there too.

Mom's Notes:

Take a trip down memory lane and pay a visit to the Burt Reynolds & Friends Museum. It truly is a blast from the past with memorabilia from sports greats and the biggest Hollywood names. Sparkling chandeliers, theatrical lighting and mirrored cases give the museum a glitzy, inviting atmosphere. You'll see the infamous canoe from 'Deliverance', Muhammad Ali's boxing gloves, boots and belt buckle from Gene Autry, autographed books, photographs, etc. You will see all of Burt's awards, keys to the city and gifts received throughout his illustrious career. There is also a 30-acre county park named in his honor. The town of Jupiter is very proud of Mr. Reynolds and the impact his generosity has had on the local community.

The museum is run by volunteers and is a not for profit. You can tell the volunteers genuinely enjoy being there and they are extremely knowledgeable about the life and times of Mr. Reynolds. It was fascinating to hear about all the movies and TV shows he has been in. Even the kids enjoyed hearing stories of his old action movies and are requesting one of his classics for our next family movie night.

Also housed in the same building is BRIFT: Burt Reynolds Institute of Film and Theatre, with many classes offered for all ages. Learn how to write a screenplay, use a teleprompter like a pro, or do improvisational acting. There is even a Master Acting Class with Burt Reynolds, which is available by invitation only.

Jacob Tip:   Did you know a can of soda has about 10 teaspoons of sugar?? Makes you fat, try adding juice or slices of citrus to water if you don't like the taste. Water is the best thing you can drink.
