Wow! This place has really changed since the last time I was here. Last time I didn't think it was a real zoo because they didn't have very many animals and what they had were mostly barnyard animals but not anymore. Now they have big cats- Tigers, Lions, Cougar and Jaguar; Monkeys; lots of reptiles like snakes, lizards and giant tortoises/turtles; some really pretty birds- peacocks, emu, macaw and more; they still have barnyard animals too and you can buy food to feed the goats. They have a lemur, like from the movie Madagascar, except he doesn't talk like the one in the movie.

Like Jacob said, the Zoo has really changed over the years since we were there last. It's hard to believe that all these animals once belonged to people who kept them on their property and now they've been rescued.
There is a train you can take for an enjoyable ride - I think about $2.50, and there are some animals you can only see well from the train. There is a petting zoo/animal feeding area - cups of food around $2. Around 8 kinds of monkeys (34 in all), a pony barn, cougars, tiger, lions, leopards, bobcats and lynx. (OK - So I am partial to the big cats)!
They have a concession stand or you can bring your own food and beverages and have a picnic.
