Jacob's Review:
George ranch is like an olden town, it has a lot about history in a funner way. There is a general store where you can buy old candy sticks and there are cowboys and women from little house on the prarie. They even do lunches that are like earlier time periods, just like what the cowboys would have ate!

There are Cabins and growing fields and cattle fields. The cattle are for eating, they are steers. The cows are for milking and making babies and the bulls are mean and are only for making the cows get prego. The mansion is very nice - I would love to live there!

Dad's Notes:
If you want to learn a bit about Texan history, the George Ranch is a great place to start. They host all sorts of events on special days throughout the year, such as Fourth of July BBQs and Christmas events. They have an annual "Tales of Texas" event, where they teach you about important figures in Texan history.

George Ranch is a beautiful stretch of land and has been a ranch for over a hundred years. Tours of the chunk of land, both guided and self guided, teach guests about Texan history, as well as introduces them to how a Texan would have lived decades and decades ago. It teaches about important figures, dates, and other information. There are also many different programs and events throughout the year, including a Mother's Day Tea event.

You can find The big house, cabins, horses, re-enactors, cattle, working blacksmith demonstrations, ranching and cowboy demonstrations - like roping calfs from horseback, old shops and displays - check their web or call them as activities varie throughout the year!

Jacob Tip:   Go when they have all the re-enactors there, it is so cool and everything from rodeo roping to doing laundry the old fashions way! Bring a cowboy hat if you have one!
