Joey's Review:
We saw dinosaur bones and stuff. We looked at a whole bunch of jewelry cuz Mom was all about that. But then we did more good stuff. There was a movie of dinosaurs. And a planetarium that Mom said we could go do next time. We got to stop for McDonald's right in there. My favorite thing was playing with the screens and being all scientific and smart!

Mom's Notes:
This was such a nice day for the family. The Houston Museum of Natural Science taught us many things, and we still managed to have a lot of fun. Everyone had a favorite section: Joey liked the chemistry exhibit and his dad could hardly tear himself away from the Paleontology exhibit. Because Joey's dad liked the "bones" so much, we went to see the movie "Flying Monsters." I highly recommend this museum for anyone visiting Houston.

Like Joey said, my own personal favorite was The Gem Vault. It was amazing to go look at the beautiful jewels right after we had seen the Gems and Mineral exhibit. It is amazing what humans are capable of accomplishing when thinking about how those rough natural beauties were shaped and cut into breathtaking jewelry. I couldn't take my eyes off the emerald tiara. I want to own it and wear it every day.

The ticket prices were very reasonable and the lines were not very long. We were going to buy our special exhibit tickets online. However, we decided to just wait and decide which extra exhibits we wanted to see when we got there. It was a smart move, we actually ended up spending so much time in the permanent exhibits, that we really only had time to do a couple of extra things. We will come back very soon to see more.
