Jacob's Review:
When mom said we were headed to Kemah Boardwalk, I thought, "What's a Kemah?" She told me it was an amusement park by Galveston Bay in a little town near Houston named Kemah. Its now one of my favorite places to go. It's not too big, but man, do they have some cool things to do. First, we had lunch at Landry's. They have really good food, and you can sit inside or outside to eat. We sat inside cause it was kinda hot. It was neat to watch the boats go by from our table.

Next, we walked down to the best part about the whole place - The Boardwalk Beast! It's this cool motorboat that takes you out into the ocean for a 30 minute ride. When the beast is unleashed, it goes really fast and bounces on the water. The best part is when the water comes up over the sides and soaks you. It was awesum! At first I thought I was gonna lose my lunch. Turns out it was mom that lost - her fake eyelashes! She didn't care cause she said it was fun. I just thought that was real funny.

Dad's Notes:
Kemah Boardwalk, a 60-acre entertainment complex, has something for everyone. Carnival rides, games and water attractions beckon toddlers, teens and in-betweens. With plenty of shopping, special concerts and dining choices, it is the perfect getaway for the entire family. Come for the day or stay overnight at the Boardwalk Inn, conveniently located steps away from the fun.

Jacob loved the Boardwalk Beast. His mom loved the FantaSea, a luxury yacht that took us on a tranquil dinner cruise on Galveston Bay. If you go, book the Friday cruise as the FantaSea has the best seats for Fireworks Friday, a spectacular pyrotechnic display that lights up the sky every Friday in June and July.

I also loved that after a hot, Texas summer day, I didn't have to get into the car and drive home. We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn where we sat on our private balcony overlooking the boardwalk and Galveston Bay.
