Andrew's Review:
We went to the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge because my family likes to do things outside. I wasn't sure if it was going to be fun, I thought it was just going to be driving around and hoping we would see wildlife. But I was surprised because I had a blast! We were able to drive around like I thought, and we saw three deer! They were really close and I took pictures.

Then, since we went on a special day, we were able to go canoeing in the lake. This was the first time I had been canoeing and I was a little scared when we were in the middle of the lake, but after a while I wasn't scared anymore. They give you lifejackets so you don't have to worry even if you don't know how to swim. When we were canoeing we saw more wildlife, like birds and I saw a fish jump out of the water.

Dad's Notes:
Our family likes to do things outdoors to get our children away from video games, and the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge was a great day trip. This refuge has many educational activities planned throughout the month, such as canoeing and kayaking, preschool clubs, and guided nature hikes. The wildlife is abundant on the nature trails, and as long as your children are quiet, you are bound to see some wild animals. The refuge was very affordable and a great alternative to indoor activities.
