Melody's Review:
The corn maze is AWESOME!!!! The best time to go is at nite. I got to go with my friends, we had flashlights and it was super spooky. The hayride was just OK, my little sister liked it. There were goats there that she could pet, and donkeys too. There are a lot of cool scarecrows, and a haybale fort, that was pretty cool. My mom was glad she brought her camera, cause she took lots of cool pictures. Since my birthday is just before Halloween, I might have my party there next year.

Mom's Notes:
Our night at the Hall's Pumpkin Farm was a big success. I was glad we went later in the evening, as the temperatures are still pretty darn hot in Texas in October.

I didn't even realize that they have some good old Texas style BBQ goin' on out there at the pumpkin farm. It can't compare with my granddaddy's, but it wasn't bad. The kettle corn was good; the whole atmosphere there was very carnival-like.

The Halloween decorations were a perfect backdrop for some unique family photos. Don't forget your camera if you decide to visit the Pumpkin Farm. What I loved is that it's a good safe environment for some Halloween fun with the family. The little kids enjoyed the farm animals and the pumpkin patch. Watch out though, those goats expect a treat, so you had better have some corn in your pocket. Everyone picked out a pumpkin at the pumpkin patch; they're really excited about carving them into jack-o-lanterns.

You may want to bring a blanket or something, to sit on if you plan on going on the hayride. The hay can get a little itchy on your butt.

The big hit with the older kids was, for sure, the Corn Maze. My 11-year-old daughter and her friends had a blast in there. I must admit I got a little disoriented in that two-acre corn maze. I had to be rescued by one of my daughter's friends. I think she got a kick out of leading me out though.

I think the Hall's Pumpkin Farm is going to be a yearly tradition with our family from now on.
