Jacob's Review:
Bald Eagles, Orca whales, dolphins, seals, other whales, hiking, biking, kayaking, scooters, mountains, lakes, beaches and incredible views…. Bicycling is a cool way to see San Juan Island.

Dad's Notes:
Kayak tour of hidden bays, morning walks along the beach, Scuba diving, perusing Art Galleries, …

Bald Eagles and other birds are abundant, cycle the islands, you can bring your bikes on the ferry or rent them there. They are islands – so of course fishing is big, golfing, hiking, ‘flightseeing’ is popular – seaplanes, helicopters – you can even book old bi-planes for tours! Bi-Plane Tours: there are lakes for swimming and wildlife and whale watching. And of course the strange history of the Pig Wars!

The San Juan’s get more sun, less rain than Seattle or Tacoma. Spring and Fall are the best to visit if you prefer to avoid crowds and get better deals on lodging!

Mom's Note:   The San Juan Islands are simply one of the best lifetime experinces you can do!
Jacob Tip:   There are hundreds of islands that make up the San Juans, some are just big rocks, but it is the place to kayak and see it all!
